The METU Ecosystem Application and Research Center (EKOSAM) will host the event “World Biodiversity Day: Biodiversity of the METU Campus” on May 22, 2026, at the METU Research Park Z69 Multipurpose Hall.
The event will bring together researchers and experts to discuss the forest, steppe, bird, and butterfly diversity of the METU campus, as well as the long-term ecological monitoring and restoration of Lake Eymir. Current challenges and possible solutions regarding urban biodiversity and human–nature interactions will also be addressed.
All interested participants are welcome.
